Menopause
|
|
Menopause
is not a disorder, as such, but like puberty, a period of physical and
emotional change to which some women adjust better than others. The first sign is a disruption of
the menstrual cycle, and then the eventual cessation of all periods, this
can happen as early as age 40 or as late as age 58 (generally around 50
years of age). Symptoms of diminishing hormone production by ovaries
can include hot flushes and sweating, joint pains, Headache, dryness of
the vagina, irritability, Depression and sleep problems, but only 1 in
4 women experience these symptoms to a distressing or inconvenient degree.
Homeopathic views of menstrual problems is that they represent
imbalances which have been present for a long time; treatment is therefore
constitutional, although the remedies below can also be tried for relief.
Menopause
has been successfully treated and managed by "Homeopathic Centre".
Menopause
requires detailed specific prescribing of the "right" homeopathic
remedy.
Trial
and error or shotgun prescribing does not work, and therefore we don't
recommend self-medication. In fact, self-medication will complicate the
overall symptom picture.
Below are only some of the remedies we may prescribe, please note how important
the individual symptom picture is. Only when all symptoms, aggravation or
amelioration are taken into consideration can a specific homeopathic remedy
be selected.
A further consideration is given to the potency of the remedy.
