Cystitis is an acute bladder infection, particularly common in women.  The symptoms are burning pains during urination and a strong desire to pass urine, but with only partial success.  In persistent cases it is recommended you consult your doctor who may want to send your urine sample for analysis.  While cystitis is less common in boys and men it can be more serious and you should seek medical help.

Cantharis - Try Cantharis first for Cystitis.  Use it when the urine is almost scalding.  You will feel desperate urging with very little to show for it, and the agony is extreme.

Sarsaparilla - This remedy covers all Cystitis symptoms, but its distinguishing key note is that the pain is worst at the close of urination.

Causticum - This is another remedy for burning symptoms.  It can help if you experience an involuntary passage of urine on coughing in addition to the usual retention and pain.
